It's summer night and I have some free time. Instead of studying as I should (let's face it studying doesn't have an age limit!) I was thinking all the movies and series I've watched that deal with the "I'm overweight and in love"
Being a big girl myself I really love watching rom-coms with that storyline. Perhaps it's a wishful thought but mostly it's my belief that when you are in love you don't care about age, sex or size.
But enough said! Let's begin with the "oldies"!

1. Babycakes (1989)
Synopsis: Shy, fat girl vows to win over a hunky subway conductor.
This is a tv movie and a bit hard to find but let me tell you it has an interesting plot. A plus sized Cinderella is not going to wait for her prince. She will crush that ball and kidnap her prince if necessary!

2. 200 Pounds of Beauty
Synopsis: The story is about an overweight girl who undergoes extreme plastic surgeries to become a pop sensation
This is a Korean movie which although I find it funny, surgery is not the answer in my opinion. At least it shows that even with the surgery you need hard work to make it seem and be healthy. That's something.

3. You're my match/soulmate
Synopsis: A big girl in Melbourne is obsessed with a guy, unfortunately what she didn't know is that his future wife and recent "good" friend will get cold feet when it's time to meet the in-laws. Can she play the role of their future daughter in law and stop drooling over the groom's hot younger brother?
I really loved this series. The romance wasn't always present but it was there in the small nods, stares and between the lines. Great ending as well! Pity that if you don;t know greek you won;t be able to watch it yet. But here someone made a fanmade subbed trailer... enjoy!

It's a telenovela that is currently subbed in viki. I'd say go and have some fun!
